Manitoba Families for Effective Autism Treatment

Mother and ChildWelcome!

If you're a parent of a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder living in Manitoba, Canada, you've come to the right place.

The name pretty well says it all. "Manitoba Families for Effective Autism Treatment" (MFEAT) is a group of families in the province of Manitoba, Canada who promote and support treatments proven to be effective for autism and related disorders.

At this time, Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) is the treatment proven to be most effective with individuals with autism.  While Applied Behaviour Analysis is a major discipline within psychology, we are specifically referring to ABA treatment for young children with autism, based on decades of research by psychologists like Dr. O. Ivar Lovaas.
